Anthony Lane, The New Yorker’s movie critic, recently wrote an article that considers the life of David Lean – the man who directed Lawrence of Arabia, Doctor Zhivago, and Brief Encounter. It’s a good article. Here’s the link.
The New Yorker’s other film critic, David Denby, also has also written a very brief article about Stanley Kubrick’s Paths of Glory – a great, but very grim film about war. Here’s the link.
