The Pagan Sphinx Blogsite and Bill Moyers on Margaret Atwood's 'The Handmaid's Tale'

The blogosphere is an interesting thing. For example – just a couple of years ago, I had no idea what the heck the blogosphere was. I guess that shows how technologically savvy I am. Yeesh.

But really – in the short time that I’ve been working on this site, I’ve had the good luck to happen upon some interesting blogs, covering all kinds of subjects. One of the bloggers whose site I like to visit from time to time, The Pagan Sphinx, just posted a Bill Moyers interview with author Margaret Atwood. Moyers (who, many years ago, was one of the people instrumental in forming the Peace Corps) is a very good interviewer who actually (gasp!) has substantive conversations with his guests. Here the chief topic of conversation is Atwood’s The Handmaid's Tale, though other, intersecting topics are discussed. I quite like this book, and as a graduate student had to teach it in seminars. How this interview would have helped then…

You'll find then link to The Pagan Sphinx site above, and to this specific blog entry here.

I love what M. Atwoods says about society finding the story more interesting "with the tiger". I must read The Life of Pi!
