There's a nice, but very brief and fluffy, interview with David Lynch in The New York Times Sunday Magazine. You'll find it here. He has some good words about seeing films on the small screen.
I tend to think of Lynch as the maestro of odd - though given his surreal body of work, I think it can be argued that the strangest film Lynch ever made (for him, that is) was The Straight Story.
